Tyrol has one more quiet advantage: in Austria you can marry legally, sometimes even at an approved outdoor spot, so a lake like this can be the day that counts on paper as well as in your heart. Innsbruck, with its old town under the Nordkette, makes an easy and beautiful base an hour or less away.
