Photographers: Tanja & Andi (Blitzkneisser)
Location: Nordkette Innsbruck (Jewel of the Alps)
Jacqueline & Eric from Singapore and Korea do not only share endless love for each other but also a mutual admiration for clear skies and snowy mountains. That’s why they decided to take the long journey from the bustling city of Singapore to see the picturesque Austrian Alps in the flesh. To capture their great adventure in pictures, they got in touch with us at Mountain Elopements to use our local knowledge and to find the perfect location for a couple shooting. That’s what Jacqueline thought at least.
Behind the scenes, Erik confided in us that he wanted to disguise his proposal as a couple shooting and surprise his beloved one with a ring on top of the mountain. What better place in the world could there be? We were so happy to be part of this special moment and could not wait to capture the emotions of this gorgeous couple.
As soon as we reached the top and started taking pictures, Erik could no longer wait. He fell on one knee and asked Jacqueline if she wanted to be his wife? Taken by complete surprise, Jacqueline froze for a second before she bawled “YES!” at the top of her lungs. Many tears, hugs and kisses later we couldn’t wait to congratulate the newly engaged couple. Erik definitely surprised his wife-to-be successfully.
Quote from the couple eg.
“Getting engaged in the mountains was definitely a dream come true for us. Tanja & Andi were brilliant, not only as photographers but also as organisers, tour guides and friends.”
To celebrate their engagement, we took Erik & Jacqueline sledding in Kühtai. We shared laughs and stories, including our own elopement in Scotland and ideas for their wedding back home in Singapore.
We may not be able to explore and go on adventures right now, but this is the perfect time to get the creative juices flowing with our inspirational resources and guides over on our website!
